Bird of Paradise

I dont remember where I saw your face, you just looked happy, and I saw you lived on an island. Had to check out the island! I am going to try your silk painting this week. I am making pillows for my couch and will experiment first before I make the pillows. I love your brilliant colors you get with the silk dyes. I bought some a while back from dharma trading company so have them on hand. I like this piece especially because it looks abstract in the thumbnail. I am beginning to hate realism. I like to have to think about it! more poetic! Have fun on the beach today! Jealous!!

Hi Kelly, I saw your face on someone elses site and thought I would check you out since you are in Panama at Shepherd Island. Wow, you paint on silk! I am just getting ready to try this. I love, love, love the colors in this piece. I live/teach art on a houseboat on a lake and paint on fabric (cotton, rayon) but have not tried silk. I just got a scarf from dharma trading company to try. Beautiful work. I put you on my watch list. I just joined FAA this week. Great site!
